ABOUT
Architect Ruksana Afroz is a founding member of 23/90 Architects and played a significant role in shaping the early direction and growth of the practice until 2020. Her professional journey spans both Bangladesh and Australia, with extensive experience in architectural design, urban planning, and development approval processes.
During her time at 23/90 Architects, she was actively involved in project design development, consultant coordination, and approval documentation, contributing to a range of residential and urban-scale projects. Her work reflected a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and design integration.
Currently based in Sydney, Australia, she has developed strong expertise in Development Application (DA) and Construction Certificate (CC) documentation, working on residential and childcare projects across New South Wales. She possesses in-depth knowledge of Australian planning controls including LEP and DCP, and has experience in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant and efficient design solutions.
Her broader skillset includes urban analysis, master planning, stakeholder coordination, and project management. She is known for her ability to bridge planning regulations with design intent, ensuring both compliance and design quality.
